I've been meaning to post so many times but I was studying like a mad woman. My finals are finished and I am now starting a second session of summer school as of today. It's an online class and only one this time around so it won't be as bad. I had fun being back in school and was very interested in the material...learning about human anatomy and physiology. It's crazy! How can anyone say there is no God!? Our bodies are made up of so much...so intricately created!
Caleb's been doing fantastic! He's been spending lots of time with just Patrick while I was in school. He's been swimming a lot, went to the movies, and had a KOKA outing. He's been doing a lot better in the pool with moving his legs around. It's such great therapy for him and we are so blessed that Patrick is so willing to just take him in all the time. Brandon and I are still afraid to do it all alone...although I often really want to. We recently picked up the walker that I had mentioned we were going to buy from Abbie. We haven't done "actual" walking with Caleb in it yet but Patrick has been putting him in just to have some time in that position. He stands in it with his knees slightly bent so he doesn't hyper-extend but has his weight still bearing on his legs. He's been able to lift his feet when we ask him to and has been able to hold his head up quite well. The most recent time that he was in it I asked him to lift his leg like how he would in order to walk. We told him to really think about what he was trying to do and focus on the muscles he needs to use. He did it and moved one leg and then the other! It wasn't like he was "walking" but that was an AMAZING feat for Caleb and I was so happy for him!
Micaiah is such a sweet little brother to him and it is so cute to watch them together. Micaiah watches Caleb as he does these things. This time in particular he was watching him and encouraging him too. Caleb started to drool as his head went down and Micaiah said "uh oh" and went and got something and started wiping it up...he was Caleb's own personal clean up crew!
Micaiah often gets involved during Caleb's therapy sessions now too which is good for the both of them. Micaiah isn't just a spectator but gets to do fun stuff too. And Caleb in return gets to do stuff with his little brother.
God has answered my prayers. Before I would dwell on the thought of not being able to watch my boys play together. But I DO get to watch them interact together. It may not be what I had imagined but it is still such a blessing. Sometimes Caleb will be a little punk big brother too when we ask him questions regarding Micaiah...he's just,....so there! His personality is ALL there! It's funny. When Micaiah's being a little rascal when we're out, I'll put Micaiah on Caleb's lap and wrap his hands around Micaiah and tell him to squeeze him so he can't get away. Micaiah likes that and Caleb makes goofy faces.
I'm so happy to be able to be home more now that I don't have to study as much. I've been praying about school a lot. It's so hard...but I think as time goes by I'll learn how to manage my time efficiently. I hate missing all these moments.
Brandon and I have been going through some struggles...not with one another but together with other things and issues. We are aware however that it's attacks and do our best to stand strong. I know we can't please everyone and that people may say things about us but it all doesn't matter in the end. We are all accountable for our OWN actions and thoughts and the only one that really matters is the King of Kings...Jesus Christ! We will live our lives according to what we know and believe to the best of our abilities. Yes we will fall many times as all humans do but God is a God of understanding and forgiveness.
In doing devotions with Caleb, I've been learning a lot. I often will read it to him and then say, hey, that's what I need to do. It's crazy...here I am teaching my children about the Bible and I get slapped in the face. It's always a wake up call...God teaches me through everything!
We are planning to take the boys to Maui sometime very soon! We've been wanting to take them to the aquarium there. Since Brandon has some vacation he's gotta use we've decided to go ahead and take them.
Thank you for continuing to pray for Caleb and our family even when I fail to update with a post! We've been blessed by the continuous prayers and appreciate your thoughts.
God Bless.

It's so good to hear that things are going so good with Caleb. I will be praying for the attacks of the enemy to stop. I was just telling my sister the other day that we can and will be victorious over the attacks of satan. It's exciting to know that we have so much power through the blood of Jesus Christ. Let us know when things are going better, I'm praying that they already are.
Be blessed,
Suzi
we just returned from a mainland trip...yes getting away and having a change in scenery is healthy and sometimes needed.
Have a great time on Maui and may the Lord strengthen all 4 of you.
Congratulations Kehau to your success in finishing your 1st summer session.
We love you and keep on praying for miracle after miracle. God is a God of plenty and has much more blessings in store.
Love
Kent and Elisabeth
