ONE YEAR

Psalm 118:24 says..."This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!"

Today was definitely a day to REJOICE and be GLAD!

This past Sunday we went to another church to hear Norvel Hayes again and to speak with him and his wife. It was awesome...a great refresher for us, specifically for this week. It was a really small church. We met a woman who lost her one and a half year old son to drowning years ago. She cried as she reminded us what a miracle Caleb is.

Right there I knew that this is a time for me to REJOICE! Thank you Lord for giving me my son! All the hard times that we encounter doesn't matter when we think about the alternative fate of March 6, 2007. We are so thankful that God brought him back when the doctor said he was dead and so thankful that he has given us hope for the miracle he will do in Caleb. Me and God had a really long talk early this morning. I had so much to be thankful for today.

Caleb's "Re-Birthday" Party was great! There were so many people that came out to celebrate his life with us! We are so blessed....beyond what I could ever imagine! We had a house full of life and laughter and smiles and children and love.....and food! Thank you to everyone who came over tonight! You can't imagine how much it meant for all of us! Thank you also to everyone who kept Caleb and all of us in your prayers even if you couldn't come! Prayers as we know are extremely powerful! My sister made a great video of Caleb's life with pictures and video ranging from his birth till now. It was a tear-jerker of course, but very beautiful. Caleb got all excited when his best friend from school came. When he heard him running around and playing he was moving so much...he just wanted to jump right out and run around too! I think it was great for people to see him after not seeing him for awhile and also for those who've made a great impact on our lives and haven't even met Caleb til tonight to finally see him in person. Today was more than I prayed for...God is awesome...he's surrounded us with so many loving people everywhere we go!

Brandon's been working long overnight shifts at work all week as I mentioned in the previous blog. He only got to stay for a little bit...I think he's fine. I haven't got a chance to even really talk to him all week or spend any time with him. We miss him...but he did get to play with the kids a little bit. He'll be working throughout the weekend 'til monday on those shifts. What a great and hard working husband I have! :)

It's been one year and I can't believe it. Time flew quickly and as I look back on this last year. All I can really say is...GOD IS GOOD! Despite the tragedy of Caleb's accident, God has turned it around to use our special child for his Glory and despite the numerous hard times we have encountered I would still rate this last year, THE BEST YEAR OF MY LIFE! Call me crazy...but I meant it. God's love is the best thing I've known and he has showed me so much love this last year than I have received in my lifetime with all my family's love for me combined!

Caleb had a great day...so did we...all is good...and I've got the biggest smile on my face! Blessings and many thanks to you all! We love you more than you know! Patrick took some pictures tonight which I will probably get this weekend, so I'll post it when I've got it!

Sorry we missed the party but we prayed for you all yesterday as we have been doing daily for the past year!

Isn't God amazing? Like Joseph, you and we can say, what the devil intended for evil, God turned into good . . . but not just good, the very BEST!!

We love you guys!!

Dear Kehau, Brandon,Caleb and Micaiah...Thank you so much for allowing Rachel and I to join you and your family last night. I really feel so blessed to be a witness to your awesome faith and your family. I think I've mentioned it to Rach a million times already about how I was so honored to have been there. To see Caleb and how alert he is and what a miracle he is. Crystal did such a awesome job on the video...I did cry...partly cause as a Mom I would miss what was...but also partly because of what a miracle Caleb is...how much he has taught me and how God's love shines through him brilliantly. We continue to pray for complete healing and know that God has many more miracles in the pocket of His robe with Caleb's name written all over them!
Love You So Much!

We felt honored to be at Calebs "Born-again" Party. What an experience to see him now, compared to March 7th last year, when we came to Kapiolani!
Thank you Lord for blessing not only Caleb and his family but all of us through this miracle!
