We are so glad to have him on this day, to hold him in our arms. What a blessing!

Everyone singing praises for Caleb's life at his re-birthday party!

I don't know how I could have forgotten to mention how great last week was. God showered us with many blessings, and positive people with wonderful things to say about his progress. There was so much happiness that God clearly helped me to see the whole week leading up to March 6th. Caleb went to Shriners last week to get some new splints for his feet. The doctor that he sees there also re-evaluated him. These were his words..."He's doing really great since the last time I saw him. His arms and legs are loose and he's able to move them a lot. You guys are doing a great job with him...he looks really good. I'm excited!" He said he's excited...How cool is that to hear from a doctor? I love him :)

It is possible that Caleb could have had a terrible week. But God is awesome and faithful! It made March 6th to be much more of a blessing.

I'm planning on taking Caleb to see his friends at school before they go on Spring Break. I haven't told him yet but I know he will be really excited about it. I'm excited to see his reactions this time around.

Caleb will be starting a new program with UH. It will consist of working with students studying speech pathology. It will be great for him since he currently isn't getting any speech therapy. Plus I hear they will be able to help us in getting him some things that we may want for him. Like the "motor chair" I wrote about previously. What's even better is that they can come to our house which makes things much easier for me with Micaiah and all. I'm excited for him to start this program this week. Things are getting much more crazier as I start to add new things into Caleb's care. But he is making such great progress! I hope to start them going regularly to Keiki O Ka Aina very soon too! Both of the boys need some kid interaction and learning time!

This week we will be getting two new nurses which wasn't expected but I've met them and watched them with Caleb for a little bit and I really like them. So that's great! Patrick will be needing all of your prayers tomorrow. Just pray that God watches over him... Caleb needs him..we need him.

Brandon and I will be celebrating our one year wedding anniversary next week. And what a milestone that is! It's been a tough first year of marriage but we made it and will continue to be celebrating many more to come. We got married 12 days after Caleb's accident last year right in the PICU at his bedside. It was the most memorable and unique wedding I could have ever asked for. The nurses in the ICU got us one of the conference rooms in the cafeteria to celebrate in and made sure we had the sleep room that night. I'm so happy God chose to have us married at that time instead of when we had originally had our wedding day set for. Again, God had his hand in it all!

Can you please join me in thanking Jesus everyday for Caleb's complete healing? And BELIEVE with all your heart!

Jesus says, "...whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." Mark 11:24

Wow, What a different picture from a year ago! Caleb can breath on his own and obviously knows what's happening around him...and one day he can tell stories and write his own book!
A best seller I certainly would love to read!
Kehau, you are a great faithbuilder and a healthy challenge for us semi-believers, who have doubted for 100% restoration and have put God in a box.
This Easter will be different: What seemed impossible with man, is possible with God...Lord help my limited belief!
Yes Caleb, rise up and walk in Jesus name! ..for HE is risen and lives!
I want to rise up in faith, because of who God is: Awesome!
Love you much,
Elisabeth

What a great post. So sorry it's taken me so long to post a comment. Congratulations on getting through the first year.

Caleb is looking and doing so wonderful. He is so much farther than Luke was at his one year mark.

I just want to let you know that I too believe in miracles. I know that God is a healing Father and I will continue to pray for Caleb's complete healing. I won't stop until hear the good report of his complete restoration.

I would be interested in reading the book you mentioned. Do you think I could order it from Amazon? I haven't taken a minute to look yet.

Be blessed my friend and know that even though I don't take the time to comment, I still check up on Caleb all the time.

Love in Christ,
Suzi Searles
