Not much change

Actually, that's not such a great title. There's changes everyday in our hearts and our lives as well as others. Caleb has been steady same since last night. They did lower the ventilator today and he is still taking breaths on his own. It's back to where he was a few days ago. They will slowly wean him off the ventilator again until he gets the treciotomy probably next week. He is also going to get a "g tube?" I think that's what it's called. That's how it sounds anyways. But that will be connected to his stomach and we will be able to feed him through that tube. So please pray for Caleb's surgery next week. I'll let you know when we find out what day he will be going for surgery. It also looks hopeful that he will not need a home ventilator with the trechiotomy. Well, the doctors seem to think that he may be able to do it on his own. We are praying that he won't so please pray for that also.
Remember when I wrote about the doctor that we didn't like so much and I said I think God is changing his heart too? Well, he's really been more kind to us lately. So God IS changing his heart! :)
Today we got to meet Abby! (prayforabby.com) She's a pretty little girl...she's got the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen. Her parents, Tiffany and Ray, come to visit us and talk to us about what we are going through. They've been there and they know how it is. We are so fortunate to have them to talk us through things and help us along. They are so kind and we are so grateful to have them in our lives and through this journey. Thanks Tiffany, Ray, and Abby! Words cannot express how grateful we are for you and all that you do for us! We get so excited when you guys stop by! :)
Oh, and one more request. I've been praying so hard for Caleb to open his eyes to see us, and for us to see him. I tell him everyday that I am waiting patiently. So my request is to pray that he will soon open his eyes again. Because that would just make us so happy and bring a lot of warmth back into our hearts.
It so awesome how so many people are putting together ways to fundraise some money for Caleb. It's so awesome. We are so grateful for all of you and your friends and family who are also following along on this journey and have been wanting to help. Thank you all so much for your beautiful hearts. It's not easy in this day and age to see how many wonderful people there are in the world with so many things going on all around us everyday. This has shown us that there are plenty, plenty, PLENTY people with great hearts. And great hearts that love the Lord!
Well, I'm off to Hearts In Motion tonight! But if you didn't notice, I posted the story of what happened that horrible night. It's on the left side of the website page. It's not written so good. I did it really fast so I'm gonna add to it when I get more time.

Thanks for checking up on Caleb and for continuing to pray! GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!

Aloha Kehau,
My name is Beth and I found your blogspot through Abby's. I don't actually know Abby either, but I know friends of Abby's parents, Jim & Rem Winand, (pray4jim). Anyway, I've been reading your blogspot for about a week and I wanted to let you know that I am praying for your handsome blessing to be healed.

God bless you and your family
-Beth
