It's a new blessed day! They lowered Caleb's ventilator again. They will continue to lower it step by step. He also had physical therapy again today. The therapist says he has good tone and is flexible. So that's a good thing. We work with him a lot on that and so do many of Caleb's daily visitors. The therapist also gave us splints for his feet so that it will stay straight. So he needs to wear it for two hours and then rest two hours and so on. He's been doing good though and has been steady. Still waiting on those smiley eyes to open up! I just want to be able to pick him up whenever I want to hold him and hug him and "squeeze" like how we always did. Everytime I would hug him, especially when I would drop him off at school he would tell me to "squeeze" and we would squeeze each other really tightly. I miss all that love that he showed me. I think I'm gonna ask the nurse if I can hold him again tonight or maybe tomorrow. That closeness helps me out a lot and I think it helps him too. Gosh I miss him so crazily!
Brandon and I are getting out tonight! I think it's much needed and hopefully will take our minds off of everything for just a moment to relax. Many people will be at the hospital with Caleb and my sister will watch Micaiah. It's so nice to have so many people surrounding us and helping us out! Thank you!
