Caleb has been improving everyday. Yesterday he had an appointment to see the surgeon who did his trach and gtube. He said that he thinks Caleb doesn't need the trach anymore. He thinks we can take it out already. Music to our ears! Isn't that awesome?! We have to go see another doctor but we will probably start to try and get him back to just using his nose and mouth to breathe so that we can take the trach out. The doctor said he thinks he will be able to cough if we can take that out. Praise God! Let's pray that we will be able to take it out soon and that Caleb will be doing great without it!

Today Jim Mendoza of KGMB 9 News came to do the story on Caleb. It went really well and Brandon and I can't wait to see how they put it all together! They will be airing it sometime next week. Jim said he would call me to let me know exactly when and what time they will be showing it. So I will let you know as soon as I find out.

We had (hopefully) the last stresses about Caleb's medications on Monday afternoon. There was a mix up in the prescription and the dosage in which he was supposed to be getting. The pharmacist at Kapiolani said it was her mistake. What had happened was at the hospital Caleb was geting 2.5mL of Vallium, which is a muscle relaxer, and it equalled to 10mL per day. The prescription was wrong when we went home and they had put in our orders to give him .5mL which equalled to 2mL per day. 8mL less then what he was getting!!! We didn't realize it at first because at the hospital the nurses had just been giving us the medications..we weren't doing it ourselves. There's been so much chaos with his medications since Saturday. But now we know better and it won't happen again! Because Caleb's medication was drastically altered from the hospital to when we came home he was very spastic when we first came home. He was very stiff and had quite a bit of spasms. But he's adjusted to the lower dosage and has been doing very well with it. He's not spastic like how he was in the hospital even. He's so much more relaxed at home. It's nice to see him more relaxed and comfortable. It was frustrating to find out that they could make such mistakes...even the home care nurse was very frustrated. But all is good now. And Caleb is doing so good anyways!

On Sunday Micaiah will be getting dedicated at church! (11am service) We're so happy that Caleb will be able to be there too. One of our nurses was kind enough to come in on Sunday and help us out with going to church even though its mother's day. God Bless her heart.

Next week friday, March 18th we will be doing Caleb's testimony at Ho'ike for New Hope Oahu. It will be at Farrington. I will be dancing, as well as my sisters and neices. They will also be doing some fundraising there for Caleb too! Come and check it out! I think you can buy tickets at church on Sunday.

Thank you for continuing to follow Caleb's story! He's rapidly improving. Sunday marked two months since his incident! What amazing progress he has made in such a short time! Praise God! Thank you Jesus! It's only a matter of time before God heals him completely! WE are forever praying for another miracle!

Hebrews 11:1 says, "Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." This is what we are living by...

God Bless you all!

Love the new look of your blog. Just know we're praying for all of you daily. Pretty scary w/mixup in prescriptions but just like me, you'll have to become as knowledgeable as your drs. and nurses about Kamakana's treatment and meds. May God give you strength, patience and courage through these times. Love, P&G
