Birthday Praises!

Praise God for Saturday! The most wonderful thing happened...While we were singing happy birthday to Caleb at his party this past saturday, it was really windy so Jesus was blowing out Caleb's candles. However, there was one that kept going. I put it up to Caleb and we told him to blow it out. AND HE DID! I can't explain it in words but all I can say is...IT WAS AMAZING! We got it on video...you can't fully tell on the video though but everyone was amazed by it! Thank you Jesus! What a miracle! Caleb had a great party and we enjoyed ourselves as well. Thank you to all who were able to make it to celebrate this very special birthday with Caleb and us. (Sorry it was such a short notice) Thank you for all your prayers for his birthday and for his party... Gosh, prayer is powerful! We knew that already but God just continues to show us his grace through the answering of prayers everyday!
This week has been so amazing....God is doing GREAT things in Caleb's lives as well as ours and we are totally stoked. I'm so hyped up...I can't wait for that complete healing! I finally was able to come to a point tonight where I could praise God for all the struggles that we are going through and to thank Him for choosing us to endure the trials. (People always told us that we are in a way "lucky" or special that God chose us to go through this) I never could come to terms with it but I kind of understood what they were saying. But tonight I was able to REALLY thank God for placing such a huge obstacle in our lives. He really wants us to live an eternity with him and I'm so glad that he has brought us to where we are today. If this hadn't happened, we probably would have been stuck in that same place and wouldn't have been able to feel the wholeness that we now have because of our relationship with Christ today. We're still growing and I'm so excited about where God is leading us!
YES things are awesome right now! But please continue to keep us in prayer very heavily because when things are going so good, the enemy hates it and attacks us like a mad man. And we don't want to get too "comfortable." We must always stay in prayer...especially when everything is so great! Amen, Amen...thank you Jesus! and thank you all for all your love and prayers! We are truly very blessed!

I came across your site when I visited the New Hope website! I'm a children's pastor in Canada, and was deeply affected and touched by your story. I am in the process of connecting the children I minister to with prayer stories around the world. We pledge to stand with you and "take on" the faith journey and pray together for the miracles that God delights to do for His kids. A little girl named Susan in Zambia this week was also stricken unconscious and doctors declared it a "no hope" situation. Pastors & friends prayed for days and Susan was raised up but also does not have the ability to speak or communicate. Susan & Caleb are the priorities on our prayer list! May their beautiful voices be heard so that all will know that God is God. We stand with you as brothers & sisters! For His Kids, Marilyn Muller, Children's Pastor, Saskatoon, Canada

Hi, my name is Erika and my boyfriend, Sam met Caleb's Grandma this past week. She gave him the link to your website and I thank you very much for letting us view and comment on your site.

I am praying for Caleb and believing for his absolute, complete healing and restoration. I know God's resurrection power is available to us who believe and I am praying also for you to stand strong on the truth of God's Word.

Our daughter, who is 6 months old, was diagnosed while in utero as moderate to severe spina bifida. I saw the ultrasound photos where her brain was malformed and two doctors confirmed it. I cried buckets but I'm glad that I had pastors and friends and family who all believe that God is the final authority on all things and they taught me to declare the word of the Lord over my baby. With laying on of hands and much prayer, I was retested 4 weeks later and to the shock of the doctors, (they searched and searched, looking for what they saw before) my baby daughter was completely healthy. My OB said, "Well...the spina bifida must have resolved itself...Just be thankful." I had to tell him that I was thankful..to the Lord! Baby was born with a tiny dimple at the base of her spine where the Lord had healed her and closed up her back! So I believe with you for Caleb's complete healing. He is in the Lord's hand, and that's the best place to be for any of us. I will absolutely continue to stand in prayer with you and I hope to meet you all someday.
The Lord is with you!!
Aloha,
Erika

Hey Kehau and Brandon... After spending a wonderful evening of fellowship with you and your family, it dawned on us that since we have met you and started to get to know you and your family more and more, that we have never checked out this site... Wow, it is truly awesome to see the progress that Caleb has made and the work that God has been doing through his healing and through your lives overall. I know that I can speak for Leanne when I say that we felt truly blessed to be able to share in the celebrations at Caleb's birthday party last week and to witness the miracle there! I know that overall we have been so blessed to have been able to meet you both and your wonderful family and we definitely look forward to spending more time in fellowship and growing deeper in the Lord. Leanne and I keep the image of Caleb in our minds and hearts, running, playing with his cousins, laughing and acting silly (like dad), with the same youthful energy and vibrant life that he had prior to his accident. Thank you both so much for the inspiration and encouragement that you both have provided both Leanne and I through the sharing of your story and for opening up your lives to us. We look forward to more days and evenings of fellowship. Our God is an amazing God and we believe that there will be many more miracles to come. Have a great weekend! ~With Love, Jon & Leanne
