The forgotten post

So I wrote this post on November 17th but didn't submit it to be posted. You can tell I wasn't quite finished because I end it a little weird. I figured I'd still post it and just write another one since I put in the effort for this one! :) Sorry.

These are pictures from Caleb's 5th Birthday party...back in september.

An exhausting day at the beach for Micaiah!

Our Big Boy

What's up?

Today we celebrated Micaiah's second birthday with our family. It was so crowded at chuck e cheese but micaiah, caleb, and their cousins had lots of fun. Micaiah got one of those blow up bouncers so we set it up in the front of our house and the kids were jumping in it when we got home. Patrick put Caleb in with them and it looked like he was laughing! He had a smile on his face...the biggest one I have seen for myself so far! Praise God! I think I got a pretty good picture. (will post when I get it from Patrick's camera).

Micaiah likes school but is still adjusting and likes going to sunday school at our church now. We always have Caleb with us in church with the rest of the congregation where he can worship too, be prayed over, and listen to God's word being preached.

We've decided to send Micaiah to school full time. It will be easier for him to adjust, especially since he will only be there for five weeks before they break for the holidays. He seems to be adjusting fine. It's me that's having a hard time. He's such a rascal but I do miss him. I will have more time to run errands, get things in order, and focus on starting Caleb on a homeschooling program though.

I recently bought a notebook for Caleb's nurses and caregivers to write down things that Caleb accomplishes everyday, big or small. I want to keep document all that he does and the reactions it creates. So I will also start to post sometimes what is written.

Last weekend we took Caleb swimming. I didn't have any swim diapers so I took him in with just his shorts on but I told him to pee before he went in and told him not to pee in the pool. We swam for a good amount of time and then he started to vocalize a lot so I asked him if anything was wrong and then I remembered what I had told him and said, "oh, do you have to use the bathroom?" So I took him into the bathtub and right when I put him down he peed!

I'm really hoping to get a Mac Computer for Christmas so I can make some videos for you all to see the things Caleb does at therapy...and at home too. :) But I'll probably just keep dreaming about that one. :(

Brandon and I went to see "Fireproof" last night and I would highly recommend everyone who is married to see it or check out the website at http://www.fireproofmymarriage.com/ I think it's a good thing to watch even if your marriage is going good because at one point or another, everyone goes through fire!
