A Smile on My Face

I'm so happy! Today, Caleb squeezed my (Kehau) hand when I asked him too. I mean he was doing it yesterday too but today he did it when I asked him too! And he did it more than once too. It put a huge smile on my face.
Everyday he's getting better...today they took out the catheter (sp?) and gave him a suppository. They also lessened the amount of breaths that the ventilator is doing for him.
Brandon and I finally faced our fears and went home for a little bit today. (There were plenty people with Caleb while we left.) Micaiah stayed home today so we went to spend some time with him. We had a few moments were we got choked up but all in all it was okay. It was nice to be home for a little bit.
We are just so grateful for all that God has shown us and done for us this past week. It really is amazing! PRAISE GOD...
More news: Brandon and I will be getting married this Sunday at Caleb's bedside at 6:00 pm. Everyone is welcome to come and join us! But you can't actually come in though...that would be too many people in there. But you can stand outside! haha... and then we will have a potluck celebration in the cafeteria while they do shift change!
Thank you all so much for your kind and faithful hearts! Thank you to all who keep us company, bring us good grinds, and visit...but most of all for all the prayers! Please continue to pray for Caleb everyday! God is Awesome! We love you all...God Bless!
We also wanted to say a special thank you to Ray and Tiffany Vara...you guys are awesome! We are so thankful for you folks. You are our favorite people to talk to! :)Everyone please pray for Abby too! Check out prayforabby.com

Until tomorrow...

I wish that we could be at your wedding too but you can bet we'll be thinking of you on Sunday while on Maui. We will keep thinking of and praying for you daily, especially little Caleb. God is truly wonderful. Much love from all of us, Candace and Ben Chavez

Kehau and Brandon, this is from Pastor Thach Huynh of Kaimuki Christian School/Church. He knows Caleb because he helps supervise recess.
Dear Caleb family and friends,
The Lord said, “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do know." Jer.33:3
Praise the Lord! Thank You our Lord! Jesus Christ answers our prayers for Caleb. So we are continuing to pray for Caleb everyday! God is very good. Now, Caleb gets better and better day by day! Please let us know of any updates! We love Caleb very much and also love you all too! God is awesome! Bless you. Amen
Pastor Thach N. Huynh
