@ the Pan-Pacific Soccer Tournament
Brandon got to hold the $28,000 trophy. Caleb fell asleep by then.
This past weekend I attended a seminar with a doctor from texas, Dr. Tennant. He is the one who created the formula that we feed Caleb and the device that I bought to use on Caleb to restore his voltage. I could go into depth about it but I probably wouldn't make much sense. I think everyone should go to that seminar!!! :) There was a lot of information and a lot to process but it was so great and I'm so glad I got to go. Brandon and I got to stay at the hotel that the seminar was held. (we are blessed)
Caleb is doing great and was able to quickly fight off his cold by himself...and with the grace of God and prayer. Tomorrow he will be going for a swallow test that medical FINALLY approved. Sadly though it is just an evaluation which means that it will then need to be submitted again and will hopefully be processed quickly so he can get therapy very soon.
Caleb's been doing a lot of swimming lately with Patrick. It seems to be great therapy for him as he is able to lift his legs to the surface of the water and then back down again. We are so blessed with wonderful nurses!!!
I finally overcame one of my "giants." Last week, for the first time since Caleb's accident, I went into the pool. I actually hadn't even realized that I never went in since then but the pool is something I've despised ever now and then. It was nice to finally overcome that. Now I have to go in with Caleb...something that will probably be a little tougher for me but I'll do it...someday!
March 6th is just 8 days away. Wow. I can't believe it's been a year. God has blessed us so much and has produced much fruit through Caleb. We've met so many wonderful people along the way and have been transformed daily by what God teaches us through this trial.
As you can see...we had lots of fun :)
Last week Wednesday as some of you know we got to go to the Pan Pacific Soccer Tournament with passes to go on the field.."behind the scenes." KHNL put it together and some others were involved also. Patrick was the one who actually told them about Caleb...So we got to go and see the pros practice and up close and personal! Caleb stayed up to watch the whole first game! He had a great time. He kept putting his head forward so he could see the field and watch the game. KHNL did a news story on Caleb that night which came out really nice. I'll post it up soon. We all had so much fun. Brandon absolutely loves soccer so it was a great thing for him too.
We will be having Caleb's celebration next week Thursday at our house. We're calling it a "rainbow" party which you can probably understand if you've been reading the blogs. It reminds us of God's promise! I've talked to Caleb about it and he's excited to see people that he loves and of course, for a party! Everyone is welcome to come! Email me at prayforcaleb@yahoo.com and I'll will send you our address! Brandon will probably be working long night shifts all next week...of all times! So he may not even be able to be at the celebration. So please pray for him...I know it's a hard time and for him to have to be working may be harder on him. This is probably just another "rock" being thrown at us but it'll be okay...it'll pass and God will prevail.
We are still praying for Caleb's healing and will never cease till he is healed! Please continue to pray for Caleb with us!
