I forgot to mention on the last blog that Caleb had to go take a blood test to make sure that he is sufficiently getting all the nutrients and stuff he needs. His pediatrician was concerned about his diet and didn't quite agree with what we were giving him. (Not a surprise) So I took him to get a blood test and of course everything is great! Everything was perfect! Thank you Lord!
As I had mentioned, we went to "The River Church" out in Kapolei this past weekend to meet Norvel Hayes and listen to all he had to say. It was absolutely amazing! The key scriptures that Norvel Hayes was speaking on was the one from Hebrews that you see at the top of this blog...it's the scripture we had chosen when Caleb was in the ICU to be the one that "covers his case." (You can understand that better by reading his book, How to Live and Not Die) We learned a lot from his sermon and we met him, talked on the side with him for a bit, and took pictures of course! He laid hands on Caleb and prayed over him. What a great weekend it was!
Yes, a great weekend...and then there was some disappointing news today...I was extremely disappointed today when we had gone to Kapiolani Hospital for Caleb's occupational therapy and for the long awaited speech (vital stimulation) therapy. He ended up not being able to have any speech therapy. Apparently whoever put in the order for it put the "wrong code" and so he was authorized for a different type of therapy than the one we were trying to get. And medical will not pay for both. So this means that they now have to re submit an authorization and then he will need to get an evaluation and then get that authorized...I think we are looking at a few more months! It's ridiculous and I was so upset about it!
But then we went to the chiropractor that I had mentioned in the previous blog also. All four of us got adjusted. But we are excited to see all that God is going to do through the chiropractor.
I won't go into too much detail because you would be reading forever but basically, he explained that the top of Caleb's spine is pushed up into the base of his skull which cuts off much of the brain flow through the spinal cord to the nerves that go throughout his body. In adjusting this, he believes that it could help Caleb tremendously. (He taught us all about what they do, we all took x rays and then went over them and saw all the damage in Caleb's neck and base of his head. This doctor is also a Christian and when we had gone the first night to listen to a teaching on his practice he had said, "I am not the one that heals people, GOD does the healing, I move the interference to let God's healing flow through."
One of our friends from church has an amazing gift of prophesy and has told us many of his visions before about Caleb and has blown us away...also with things that God wants us to do for/with Caleb. Anyways, he had an amazing dream a couple of weeks ago but we hadn't seen him. He texted Brandon telling him he had a crazy dream and so for awhile we were anticipating to hear about it. But he held back from telling us... being a little skeptic of what he had invisioned. The day after we met the chiropractor and listened to what I mentioned above, he called Brandon and told him his dream...
In his dream he (our friend) was sitting next to God. He kept trying to look at God but of course could not. God told him to stop trying to look at him and to look down at Caleb and watch what he was going to do. As he looked down at Caleb, God put his hands through Caleb, from the top of his head down to his little toes and pulled his hands out. As God pulled his hands out, his hands were all dirty. He told him see, I make all things clean, all things new. But I have to keep doing this...I'm taking out all the INTERFERENCE...all that dirtyness is all the interference. And God continued to do that over and over. Isn't that amazing? And that God let him wait to tell us until after we heard that from the chiropractor. Because it made so much more sense to us and of course it totally blew us away and brought me to tears!
...this is my prayer for today...and Everyday!...
Jesus, I believe you are a miracle worker. Please heal Caleb Lord, and make him normal again. Thank you Lord, for making Caleb normal! Thank You Jesus! You are my all and I love you so much! Amen...
Brother Norvel taught us about Faith...knowing the answer to what you want! God can do anything. ANYTHING you can ever dream of, God can do it all! And we're not holding back on that promise. We are believing that God will give us all our hearts desires and are building our faith as each day passes. Faith is patience...we can't build our faith in one day...no one can! It takes time and patience. We're working on it...thank you for being a part of our strong foundation in supporting us in our journey with Caleb. Praise God for everything...Praise God for you!

Good preaching my sister! Faith is so amazing, God wants us to be so completely and totally dependent on Him for His miracles. I'm learning that I can not get in the way of God, I just have to trust Him to know that His timing is perfect. I know that God is going to heal Luke and I do believe it will be here on earth, not in heaven. Some people pray that God will heal him either here or in heaven and I want to say going to heaven is not healing, though I do realize we will have new bodies. I'm praying that God will also completely heal Caleb, for I know God is a BIG God and can heal all that pray for it to happen.
Do you have the devotional Streams in the Desert? If not I would love to send you a copy. This book has been such an encouraging book to me over the past few years. It has grown my faith and been a huge comfort to me.
Be blessed my friend,
Sue
Hi Kehau!
Just reading the new blog. I never did mention because I didn't know how you'd feel about it, but after reading this I thought I'd mention it. :) I have a couple friends through myspace who are "psychic". They always ask me how Caleb is doing because they read my bulletins and stuff before about praying for caleb and when I was telling people to come read his blog when you first started it. Anyway, all of them say they see Caleb fully better eventually but it'll take time. They're just so confident and always praying for Caleb and sending healing energy. So...I have no doubt about your friend who has visions that Caleb will be better!
I'm glad you guys got to check out that chiropractor. Seriously, they are the best. I need to get myself to one! Anyway, I actually do reiki hands on healing so if you ever wanted me to do some on Caleb I'd be more than happy to. :) I do it for my mom all the time cause she has heel spurs and it always makes her feet feel better. Anyway...let me know.
I'll pray that this speed up and work out for Caleb's speech therapy. It's so frustrating waiting for the authorizations. I work as a skills trainer with Snoop and sometimes the kids have to wait SO LONG. But things can move faster if the parents keep pushing it. So just keep pushing for what you want for Caleb. The parents who push for services usually always get it over the parents who don't. Good luck!
Love,
Renita
Hi Kehau! Really enjoyed our time together the other night...we are so very blessed to have you in our lives. Thank you for bringing Micaiah...he is such a joy and I truly believe that he holds many keys to Caleb's recovery. He has such a wonderful spirit...so sweet and funny. I am so excited about all the things that God continues to do in Caleb's life to show us that He is real and that through Him ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE...I pray that in the days ahead we can continue to share the joy of Caleb's recovery. May He shower you all with blessings beyond your wildest dreams. We Love You and wish you a blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year!
God Bless,
Nat & Rach
