Tomorrow's a BIG DAY!

Caleb will be going to see his ENT Specialist to try his passy-muir valve for the first time tomorrow morning at 8:15am. Please pray for him that he will do well with his valve and amaze the doctor. We want to get that trach out...Pray that he will be able to control his own secretions and swallow and make sounds...or talk and that he will be able to breathe very well with out the trach. Pray hard for him, please. This is a big step for him and a big step for his recovery.
Here's the downers...Caleb's chest bone is starting to stick out quite a bit and looks a little awkward. It's because of his posture so we have to try and correct that but it's kind of hard because he always goes into a slouching position. We noticed his gums look like they are overgrowing too so we took him to the doctors and we will try to correct that. Pray for these specifics...that they may be corrected quickly.
The other night we met a man who saw Caleb's story on the news and said it touched him and prompted him to want to do something to help so he went ahead and planned a fundraising event which will be held in the Big Island next week saturday. It's gonna be a race at the tracks up there...they are calling it Laps for Caleb. It sounds great. Brandon and I are going to try fly up for one day so we can be there. We'll see if we can. We were so moved by this man's heart and we are just so blessed to have so many people that care...and even more blessed by people who care that we don't know. Isn't it so awesome? God is sooooo good.
Today we bought a jogging stroller for Caleb. We take him for walks everyday but it's a rough ride for him in his wheel chair. He's always bouncing all over...especially when we have to go off the curbs and crossing the street on the asphalt. So I think this stroller will work really well for him. Thank you for your donations. A little bit of donation money went to buying that stroller for him. I'm also going to start purchasing more things for him to be more mobile, to put him in different positions, and for some therapy stuff.
Caleb is doing so well. Even his pediatrician said so this morning. He was quite amazed. Praise be to God! Oh, and Micaiah is doing okay now. He's still sick but getting better. But he is still having some stomach issues. Thanks for your prayers upon him! Caleb's got a stander now which he uses daily. We were waiting for that. It's a device that holds him up so he can put pressure onto his legs and stand. Our nursing has been going well. I bought some sensory toys for Caleb which he seems to enjoy. One of our nurses went on a shopping spree for him and bought him paints and markers and a book and some toys, books, puzzles to do with him. He seemed to be really excited doing all those things. Last night we took Caleb to Windward Mall to buy him a Jackson Chameleon. He was interested in them before his accident and we had been planning on buying one. So we finally got a chance to get one. He was also excited about that.
Keep on praying for him please. Especially for tomorrow...it's gonna be a big day for him! I'm running on two hours of sleep and an energy drink but I think it's time I take a nap...or at least try. I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow! Thanks and God Bless!

Kehau, Brandon, Caleb, and Micaiah, we are all praying that things have gone well for you since June 8th. We continue to be awed by how Caleb is touching so many people's hearts and strengthening their relationships to God. I am truly awed by Caleb himself... he is an incredible "Superkid" =). We love you guys! Please keep strong and continue on with all the great things you've been doing for Caleb. God Bless, and praying for more miracles, Candace and Ben.
