Today we had no nurse. Our scheduled nurse was sick and they couldn't find anyone to cover for her. We've only been home a week and already haven't had nurses twice. But we are very fortunate for all the support we have from friends and family. It was actually okay today. We are getting the hang of it and I'm learning to survive on just a couple hours of sleep. I know that's not good but we gotta do what we gotta do. Plus we had to take Caleb to the doctors today...actually the ER. His pediatrician wanted us to take him in because his O2 levels have come down to about 90 every so often. But we weren't worried about it because we just figured our machine sucked and plus they delivered the wrong probes for it. They gave us the adult ones instead of the peds so it's too big. So when we went to the ER they checked him out and monitored his O2 level and all was good. Their monitor said 95 while ours said 92. So that goes to show our monitor is off a few points give or take. Everything was well and they sent us home. It was our first time taking him out without a nurse with us. And it was okay. We survived. We are going to get our handi-dandy-van soon! Praise God! Hopefully by tomorrow or Friday. Gosh, that is going to be so much better...you can't imagine how excited we are.
Tonight Caleb opened his eyes really big. It looked like it was opened almost all the way! I wish I had my camera to take a picture!
I think we are finally really starting to enjoy being home. It's great to constantly be around family and friends. Everything is much more convenient and I just love that Micaiah is with us all day.
I've decided to go back to school in the fall. I've always wanted to be a nurse. (geriatric though) But now I want to do pediatric and I have a stronger desire to finish my schooling now. I really, really, really, want to become a nurse. I know its gonna be another challenge with Caleb and Micaiah too but hey, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE...if we just BELIEVE! Brandon doesn't know when he will go back to work yet and he also wants to go back to school...maybe Pacific Rim? We'll see where God leads us.
Please keep praying for Caleb and never stop believing that God will restore him 100% someday! All Glory to God for the miracles he has shown us and continues to show us everyday. Praise Him for all that he has blesses us with...all these wonderful people like you that surround us and uplift us everyday! GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
